1976 Eldorado Convertible - All Original - #1 Show Condition 7800 Mile Example. Medium Metallic Blue/Blue/White.  500 CID.  Another stored example from 1976, but one that is actually perfect today.  I have seen and owned many of these cars, they are all over the place in condition.  So many people bought into the "last" convertible deal back in 1976 and stored these cars keeping a good percentage in the mega low mile range.  However very few knew what they were doing when they stored them and essentially ruined many cars from neglect, poor storage that was either too hot, to damp, too cold or all the above.   Today unknowing collectors buy them according to the #s on the odometer vs their actual condition.  Many cars were also kept perfect with no miles on them.  These are the actual cars the knowing collectors pay 50K+ for and discount buyers think that might have been a mistake.  Many were kept with no miles and damaged badly.  These are the ones the discount buyers can get for 25K thinking you "got a deal" .  Once you get it, you have to put a paint job (that part alone is 15K), then, fillers, top, weather stripping, AC, heater core, chrome if the car was from dampland, and many more mechanicals in it.  Once you are done you have 50K+ in what is now a "restored" car that collectors will not buy because its an all original world with these 76s.  Hard road to go down.

This car is different and offers the knowing collector the type of quality car they desired in the 50K example at a more reasonable price due to the fact this car is a higher mile example for a collector 76.  This car lands very proper in the middle from one of those 50K perfect examples and one of those 0 mile ones.  This not a 0 mile car.  It is a 7800 mile original, stored all its life collector owned car BUT was stored RIGHT and maintained properly. I know it may sound ridiculous, as it is, 7800 miles is very high miles in the world of 1976 Eldorado Convertibles.  The market has spoken and that is that.  Its an ODO and original world for the 1976 Eldorado, but be very careful there too.   On this car this is the claim;  find a better one without spending 50K plus, and even at that price you are only going to get less #s on your odometer.

For those that know these cars, this is the breakdown;  Original fillers are still in the car along with the original tires.  Dash chrome is the best of any 76 Eldorado convertible I have encountered, even at 00000.01 miles. Top perfect, interior perfect. Paint, well its original but better than new actually as it has been color sanded and buffed to relieve some of that poor 76 quality and enhance the car to show better than just about any other 76.  Its impressive now!  This car as a whole is virtually flawless with no compromised integrity in every manner.  If you know what this implies, I should not have to go into a lot more detail and the photos will tell the rest of the story.  Not a brand new car, but a car that has 7800 miles and looks like it did when these cars were 6 months old, runs drives and acts like it too.  A mid #1 level collector show car, top 1% of the best 76s I have seen and I have seen a lot.  Yes this car has the parade boot too.
